Our Mission

The mission of Marlboro County School District is to educate and enable all students to achieve their highest potential.


Friday, January 13th is the last day of semester one.  The second semester will begin on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. 

Effective January 17, 2017, school will begin each day at 8:00 A.M.  Any student who arrives after 8:00 will be tardy for class.

FA Recovery: Any student who has failed a course or courses during the first semester due to excessive unexcused absences will have the opportunity to recover seat time after school.  FA Recovery will be held Monday - Friday from 3:30 - 5:30.  The cost is $25 per course failed.  FA Recovery will begin on Tuesday, January 17 and end on Friday, February 3, 2017.

Parents' Right to Know Requirement

As required by The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) of 2001, Title I Part A.  Information is available at our school to include, but is not limited to the following:

whether a teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction; 
whether a teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived; 
the baccalaureate degree major of a teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree;

Marlboro County High School DECA members competed at the District Two State qualifying marketing conference on December 6 at Westwood High School in Blythewood. Students tested and demonstrated a role play with a professional judge in the areas of Apparel and Accessories Marketing, Accounting Applications, Business Services, Hotel and Lodging, Human Resources, Marketing communications, Quick Serve Restaurant, and Sports and Entertainment Marketing. The following students placed in the top 10 to move forward to state competition in March. Junior Leadership Program of Bennettsville Has Successful Start

Selected Juniors of Marlboro County High School and Marlboro Academy were chosen to participate in the Junior Leadership program sponsored by the Bennettsville Downtown Development Association, Marlboro County Economic Development Partnership, Marlboro County High School, Marlboro Academy, and Clemson Cooperative Extension. The juniors will participate in a five-month program that would engage them in several activities that would enable them to learn and understand what made the community rich in history and opportunities.   READ MORE...

New Traffic Pattern
MCHS Initiates New Traffic Pattern and Student Security/Accountability Procedures

The administration of Marlboro County High School will initiate a new traffic pattern/procedure for dropping students off at school starting Monday September 12th. With the new traffic pattern, parents will drive to the rear of the school going down the road that is to the immediate left of Bulldog Stadium and proceed to the rear parking lot, dropping their student off in the vicinity of the District Bus Office. Parents will then proceed to rear of the school and depart using the back parking lot exit. Traffic will flow one way.   READ MORE...
Maria Maderal Attends ASM Materials Science Camp 2

Maria Maderal, MCHS TAP STEM Master Teacher was selected by the ASM International Foundation to attend the Level 2 ASM Materials Science Camp at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ from July 25-29, 2016.
