Project Texas:
As a School District we are taking the opportunity to help Texas with their hardship due to the extreme weather they have experienced.
Today through Friday, February 26th we are collecting items to be sent to Texas. The water shortage seems to be on the top of the list and is something easy to pick up and bring in for our collection. Of course, any items that you would like to donate will be appreciated.
Let’s all go get a case of water today and bring back to send to our fellow Americans in their time of need. We have been helped so many times and know what it means for others to show kindness and compassion!
Thank you!

Good afternoon,
Starting with today, Tech Department will offer remote IT Support to your students. If the students or parents are calling about tech problems, IT technicians will be able to assist via remote sharing of the application or the student’s desktop.
For remote support, we are going to utilize Chrome Remote Desktop. As the name implies, is a remote desktop software that allows IT technicians to remotely control student devices.
Chrome Remote Desktop will help us to deliver effective IT support service when onsite visits are not feasible or safe due to epidemics like the coronavirus.
Please share this information with the students and the parents and provide them the link below for instructions.

MCHS Academic Interventions
The following academic interventions will begin on Monday 12/7/2020.
Step 1 – Teacher Led
Lunch and Learn (L&L): Each department will have lunch duty one day a week and have a scheduled 30-minute lunch and learn on the other 3 days. Teachers will post their 30-minute Lunch and Learn time and invite struggling students to attend in-person or online. This will allow parents and students to receive free tutoring 4 days a week for 30 minutes per day.
Step 2 - Teacher/Admin. Partnership
Evening Academy (EA): Students that do not attend Lunch and Learn will receive an "academic referral" like a discipline referral but for academics. Mr. Bracey will assign them to Evening Academy. Evening Academy will offer 2 additional blocks of instruction for students working in
Step 3 - Admin. Led
Saturday Academy (SA): Students failing to attend Lunch & Learn (L&L), and Evening Acceleration (EA) will be assigned Saturday Academy. Saturday Academy will offer small group instruction to students. A mobile version of Saturday Academy will be provided to students that do not show up to school.

FEEDBACK:
As you know, we are all dealing with the uncertainty and challenges caused by COVID-19, the challenges are to be faced by schools and the community alike. No one entity should be expected to solve this alone. As such, I would like to hear about what is most important to you as we plan for the re-opening of schools possibly as soon as next month (during this pandemic COVID-19). To gather your feedback, we're using a tool called Thoughtexchange.
You'll be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign stars to some of the ideas shared by others (a minimum of 30 is ideal), and learn what's important to the group.Your thoughts and stars are confidential. You can come back as often as you'd like to participate and, in fact, I ask that you do come back to star some of the new ideas shared since you first participated. The ratings will help us understand the most important areas to focus on as we plan for the fall.
Participation will be open until July 12 and the information will be shared along with our plans on July 13th at our regularly scheduled board meeting at MCHS
Thank you in advance for participating and for your feedback
