Marlboro County High School’s Black & Gold Concert Band earned a rating of Superior while participating in the South Carolina’s Band Directors Association (SCBDA) State Music Festival in Loris, SC on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Superior is the highest rating that a group can earn by participating in this event. This is the first time within 20 years that MCHS has participated in this event and the first time ever receiving a Superior rating. The Marlboro County High School Mighty Bulldog Band Program is in its second year under the direction of Mrs. Karalda D. Perkins.
