On Monday, Marlboro County High School (MCHS) announced the hiring of a new Athletic Director and head football coach.

Bobby Collins will be the new leader for the Marlboro County Bulldogs.

Collins comes to Marlboro from Lancaster High School in SC where he served as head football coach for 5 years.

In his career as a head coach, Collins has already earned a record of 63-34.

Derwin Farr, principal of MCHS states, “I feel like we hired the right candidate that will reach all students at Marlboro County High School.  He is considered an up and coming young coach in the coaching community.  What captured me the most was how he valued academics first and athletics second.  He is all about preparing our young athletes for the future.”

Coach Collins holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching K-12 from South Carolina State University and will soon be completing his Masters Degree in Education from Purdue.

Coach Collins, his wife Crystal, and his children Jordan (11), Bryce (9) and Brooke (7) have plans to relocate to Marlboro County this summer
